The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) has an advisory role and represents the interests of forwarding and logistics companies before various non-governmental organizations (UNCTAD, ECOSOC, UNCITRAL, UN/ECE, UN/ESCAP). 

FIATA acts as a representative of the freight forwarding industry before governmental organisations and other international organizations (ICC, IATA, IMO, UIC, IRU WTO, WCO). It also actively cooperates with BIMCO, FONASBA, ISO.
